Lakehouse Watermeadows
Trust restoration project
Watermeadow Systems are often very complex in their layout – and not just within individual meadows. In the narrow valleys of the upper Wey, the carrier can (by contouring – running almost level) end up many feet above the river and valley-floor meadows a little further down.
A good example of this is the system up and down-stream of Lakehouse Farm above Liphook, where different systems overlap and even ‘fly-over’ one another.
